Booth Archaeology, owned and operated by Anthony (Tony) Booth, is a small business based in New Hampshire that specializes in historical archaeology.  Mr. Booth conducts archaeological surveys and historical research as a professional consultant and offers his services to communities, historical societies, museums, and private individuals in addition to Section 106 permit applicants.
 
Booth Archaeology is committed to providing professional archaeological services for compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, the Department of Transportation Act of 1966 [Section 4(f)], the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the Archaeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA).  All work is done according to federal and state rules and regulations concerning archaeological investigations.
 
  • Mr. Booth meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards set forth in 36 CFR 61.
  • He is a certified Level 2 Historical Archaeologist in Maine, able to conduct all phases of historical archaeological survey.
  • He is certified to conduct Phase IA Sensitivity Assessments and Phase IB Intensive Archaeological Investigations for both prehistoric and historic-period archaeological sites in New Hampshire and Vermont, as well as Phase II Determinations of Eligibility and Phase III Data Recoveries of historic-period sites.
